September 10, 2003 By: Kathe Cole New Retailer has full figure women dancing in their full figure brasAmerica is finally admitting that the average size woman is a size 12, not the stereotypical size 6, and smart retailers are focusing on the full-figure segment. Enter Jennifer Anton, a 24-year-old M.B.A student from DePaul University and ex-Victoria‘s Secret manager. Noticing the need for more stylish and fashionable lingerie for full figured consumers, Anton started B. Bliss Lingerie- a company focused on delivering luxurious, colorful and stylish bras and panties to full breasted and full figure customers. “These women deserve to feel beautiful just as their size 34B friends. Until now everyone thought full figured women weren’t interested in fashion,” notes Anton. B. Bliss carries sizes 34D through 46DDD but will eventually expand size offerings to cover an even broader spectrum of women. “Look at any store or website for full size bras and you’ll see the same thing-- white, beige, and black--if you’re lucky," says Anton. B. Bliss goes to extra lengths to find high quality bras in an array of colors and styles offering a one-stop shop for luxury foundations at bblisslingerie.com. Anton’s business plan includes an August web site launch as well as a catalog to launch in early 2002. She notes, “Full figure women should be confident about their lingerie, with and without clothes on. I want women to feel fabulous- they should be dancing in their living rooms in nothing but B. Bliss bras and panties”. About
