Moving Comfort Introduces the Grace Bra

Moving Comfort’s Grace Bra is the first sport bra designed for women who have had breast cancer surgery. It is also for all A-C cup women who want an extraordinarily comfortable zip-front bra.

This totally wicking, all CoolMax, zip-front bra has discreet openings in the lining that allow the cups to be used as secure pockets for prostheses. Every curve and seam of the Grace Bra has been designed to be gentle on highly sensitive skin. It will have a limited release in October 2001, with a full launch January 2002.

“Women who have gone through the life-altering trauma of diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer benefit enormously from physical activity. We loved the idea that we could take what we’re good at—making high performance athletic apparel that enables women to get fit and stay fit—and use these skills to assist women in their recovery,” said Ellen Wessel, Moving Comfort president.

“During development of the Grace Bra, we learned that post-surgical skin is very sensitive, that arm mobility is limited, and that swelling, or lymph edema, is a common occurrence after lymph node removal. We took extra care to design this easy on/off, zip-front bra to be kind to sensitive skin and to provide extra compression for comfort and support,” explained Wessel.

“We carefully contoured the armholes and neckline to minimize skin irritation, and shaped the sides so that they come up high under the arm for further comfort and coverage,” Wessel added.

For all A-C cup women, the Grace Bra is immensely soft, lightweight, and breathable, with a cooling mesh panel in the back. The Grace Bra provides A-B cup women with support for high impact activities, such as running and horseback riding. We recommend it for C cup women doing low impact activities, like walking, weight training, and kayaking. It is available in White and Black, in sizes S-XL.
