Post Surgery Bras — The Correctly Fitted Bras |
|
February 12, 2006 By: Darlene Thompson Post Surgery Bras — The Correctly Fitted BrasPost surgery bras are the creation of two Kewanee Hospital Home Medical Equipment employees, Kathy Smith and Sharon Gustafson. They have recently completed training to become Certified Mastectomy Fitters, who share a common goal in helping women receive the best look and fit from their post mastectomy bras and prostheses. They are trained to fit bras and breast prostheses through manufacturer-based programs. The post surgery bra is very important not only for those who have undergone surgery but for everyone because a poor fitting bra can cause backache and various other problems. These bras have been designed using clinical experience, combined with an approved education program, and fitting techniques that inspire the customers’ confidence. The CMF training provides practical hands-on fitting experience, and master key fitting techniques that inspire the customers' confidence. The post surgery bra is recommended for different types of mastectomy surgeries as each product complements a surgery type. It is important to know how to fit bras correctly, and how to recognize a poor fit, especially after an operation. Not all women seeking custom-fittings are mastectomy patients, either. Many women go to certified fitters just to get a bra that fits comfortably and properly. While custom fitted bras are often more costly, it is worth it. A properly fitting bra can truly minimize back problems and make a woman more comfortable. About
